    Hi everyone!

Its been some time since I was being active on AF.

I am about to visit BKK in a couple of weeks. Just wondering if anyone can give me suggestions based on their own personal experience.

As mentioned in the title above. I would like to frame my amulet in Gold. But it is very unlikely for me to visit Yaowarat and Pantip unless i really have enough time.

So i would like to have bros and sis here to give me their suggestions based on their own personal experience, which shop in MBK Center to go for Gold Framing. If possible some pictures and pricing.

Sidenote: I know there are some posts regarding it but I am not sure if the shops are still operating. Hence, creating a new thread.

Once again, thank you all in advance for your valuable input. Hope to hear from all of you soon.

    Cheers.

My knowledge of Thai gold casing is not deep.
    There's 2 type that I knew.
First type are those ready made gold casing which can be open/close.
The shop will just case your amulet in it just like those Ah Fook/Silver casing.
These kind of gold casing usually cost more, price wise I heard may cost around $1k.
Second type are those gold frame which is wrap around the water proofed plastic case.
These type of gold frame usually cost lesser.

As to whether is there any difference in purity between these 2 types of gold case, I'm not so sure.
Hope some brothers here can share their experience and knowledge.

Thank you for the input bro!

So far i researched. Theres like 70% 80% 90% gold. Of course the higher it is, the price also higher hahaha.

I bao gold frame in both June and Sept at MBK, same grams but different price....due to gold price increases.... according to the goldsmith shop, it 90% Thai gold.....
Pricing wise, although it have a fix price but still negotiable.......in the end i manage to get back June gold rate....
Workmanship, can say it up to standard....they really handle with care....

From those photo, yours seems to be those gold frame which is wrap around the water proofed plastic case.
Usually these type of gold frame are very thin layer of gold and cost lesser.
But how do you tell it's 90% purity gold?
Is there any hallmark on this gold frame?

I wrapped my first KP at Yaowarat Chinatown with 90% marked on the ring for 12,000B including workmanship. Their gold casing are all ready make and you can purchase off the shelf provided they have the casing size for your amulet. The gold casing displayed in the shelf are with classic design same as Firebird.
After a year i wrapped my second KP 80% outskirt of BKK for 10,100B including workmanship . They do not display much design on the shelf but you can choose a lot of design like Longya (can choose your own color), Rahu head design on top, diamond etc. I choose the design with diamond but i must leave my KP with them for 2 months approx because it was custom hand make gold casing. After waiting for 2 months, they send my KP back to SG via Airmail.
Ps donno how to upload picture here.
