*Disclaimer: I am not associated in anyway to the bro I've mentioned in this post, but I feel that he deserves recognition for his work. It also helps bros here to widen their selection for amulet wrapping services in Sg.

So far I've been to a few amulet wrappers in sg, and get back different results for wrapping.

I've happened to chance upon this bro on fb, Lau Benard, and decided to give his amulet wrapping services a try.

Had waterproofed and put in ah fook for 2 roop lor I have.

Lp Sakorn Nakprok Roop (with magnifying effect at front)

The details can be seen clearly in the pic. In real life without the magnifying effect, can't really see much of the details of it. (Pardon the odd shape of the casing as I wanted it to match my Ac Fon's casing)

And my Ac Fon Roop lor

You can see his fb page for more pics on magnifying effect kind of wrapping.

His workmanship is really good, compared to those I've been to in SG.

His charges may be a little more than Ah jiang, but is definitely better in quality IMHO. this is because ah Jiang is getting kinda sloppy in his workmanship probably because he has a lot of orders on hand.

I had 2 unpleasant incidents with Ah Jiang.
    1) sent a Lp Eaum Roon reak to waterproof and put in ah fook, the hand written yants smudged. He said can't avoid as the buffer machine vibrates a lot. (It clearly looks more like some alcohol or solution went over the yant and smudged. Like a water smudge on an ink jet printed paper) Pic below:

    2) Decided to give Ah Jiang another go with my Ac Fon Roop to waterproof and fit into ah fook, and it turned out horrendous. Ah fook couldn't close properly and he said it's no choice cuz the ah fook had a small pin at the bottom. Even if remove and redo, it'll be the same.

Another bad experience was FLS Thaprachan. worker was working on my Ac Fon Roop, as I decided to remove it from the ah fook and make a normal waterproof plastic till I find a better wrapper. His worker did sth wrong and approached boss to help. Probably alignment went wrong or sth. Boss started slamming my amulet on the table (Not once or twice, probably 15 times) to get the roop back in place.

That's when I decided to change an amulet wrapper and happened to chance upon Lau Benard, and I'd say his workmanship and service is far better than the 2 I've mentioned in the above.

Will have more pics when my other amulets are done.

**Please refrain from flaming me as this is my opinion on them, as per my experience. Your thinking and experience and mine may differ. Thanks.

(If you're wondering why most my amulets are waterproofed and put in ah fook, it's more of a preference I prefer as I'm lazy to maintain silver as i perspire a lot, gold too ex, and both silver and gold casings very fragile. Plus I just collect and don't sell any of my amulets. Ah fook is solid and good, can last long, rust alr can take the casing go fls get another one and done)

Not really sure if the mods allow me to post his fb link here, but not gonna take the risk. Here's a snip of how his fb looks like, for bros to find him better.

Thanks for this post.. There are a lack of good casing makers in Sg. Hope other bros or sis can share if they discover good casing makers.

Despite the blizzard and tsunami and months in a leaking boat. Finally I can get my piece back. Loved the work.
