iamdean76 Registered Member Info Join Date: 20th May 2009 Posts: 206 Thanks: 92 Thanked 452 Times in 173 Posts	Why are ghost/spirit afraid of Parita or Chanting I am wondering why ghost/spirit/entities are afraid of chanting be it any religion ... as we seen on tv, hantu will be afraid of Muslim's prayer, Demon/devil will be afraid of bible, and Guai/Gui will be afraid of Buddhist chanting ... why arr ... Before they become such entities, they were also human. Buddha teach use to chant metta sutta to calm them ... but we choose (for example om mani padme hum) to ask them go away ... How come they are afraid. What happen if we deal with other religion ghost ... they know what is Pali meh ... even I also dunno what it means ... if I die ... how do I benefit it arr ... Imagine pontianak come chase you, chanting Namo Amitabha, or Om Mani Padme Hum can help ... if can then pontianak more scare of us then us scared of pontianak... of vampire or whatever ... Then, why are we still scared leh ...
