Default Rant, people who tells you not to help animals and refer you to monks that says so.

Sorry a bit of a rant. It always gets to me when they say you shouldn't help the animals, its their karma, and even adds, why not go help old people. What's the difference between helping an animal and a human?

Also, they would say i will bring you to the monk who says this and ive heard from friends who said they've met monks or people who practices buddhism telling them that.

Isn't buddhism about compassion, about kindness, about giving, about helping? !
