Just came back from Nakhon Pathom over the weekends again to visit my Thai relative. There seem to be only one route to city centre now. From the airport, we took the Outer Ring Road (or Kanchanaphisek Road or Motorway 9) . We exited the expressway to travel south-west to Meung Samut Sakhon. After hitting Samut Sakhon, we drove north-west along two-lanes rural roads, before emerging onto Route 4 (Phetkasem Road) highway towards Meung Nakhon Pathom. It took me about two hours to reach my destination this time round and it took me close to three hours on the return trip. Although it was still possible to go to Meung Nakhon Pathom, normal airport taxi would be reluctant to go there.

Anyway, the purpose of this post is to share with AF my experience accompanying my relative back to their flooded house to collect some essentials.

As we got nearer to floor shelter where we would take the boat ride, I saw more and more paddy fields were flooded.



This was the temporary shelter within temple ground. Not sure the name of the temple; can't really bother to ask but upon checking google map, it should be Wat Samrong. We parked our car and went to the make-shift "water taxi kiosk" outside the temple.



The surrounding paddy fields were flooded and water level was slightly above the temple grounds. The sandbag seem to work.
