Hi all, some of you might have seen the talents of this Singaporean guy writing comics in Facebook. Reading his posts in Facebook, it seems that he is living in Malaysia because if he were to be in Singapore, he would be homeless and risk being arrested by the Police for sleeping in parks or beaches. Some of his comments which relates to Buddha Shakyamuni's teachings on impermanence: Demon-cratic Singapore @ Juan デヴィイドサン : Everything goes through 成,住,坏,空。 It is just 缘遇而生,缘灭而散。This comic series, like everything else in life, including this body which we thought is real, is just an illusion. Why cling to it? July 1 at 2:07am · Like. Juan デヴィイドサン But surely you made it as since you knew the disappointment from the recent ge 2011. It was based on something that really did happened.(Sorry my chinese pretty bad, didn't understand the mandarin part. Typical Sg problem.) July 1 at 2:27am · Like. Demon-cratic Singapore @ Juan デヴィイドサン : I assembled it, yes. But eventually it will disappear like everything else. The dinosaurs ruled the Earth once, but one meteor and they all die off. Altantis, once the pinnacle of men and science, buried and forgotten under the sea through times. The Qin dynasty, ruled by Emperor Qin Shi Huang, once the mightiest and most feared ruler of China, who single handedly conquer and unite the vast plain of the great nation, crumbled just some 45 years after his death. The illusion that I am referring to is not the mere sleight of hands, is not just the trick of mind, but is the non-permanent state of everything we see and thought is real. Wealth is an illusion. Health is an illusion. Power is an illusion. Fear is an illusion. We can enjoy wealth but if we cling to it and never learn to let go, we suffer. Same as health, as with power and fear. In fact it is the same for everything we thought is real. Our misery arises simply from our inability to let go due to us clinging so tightly to everything that is not permanent. The conditions were right, which is how this comics came to be. GE2011 happened, I am bored, I have this notebook, I found bitstrips.com. And similarly, when the condition is no longer favourable, this comic will have to cease to continue. E.g. I died, bitstrips.com stop, notebook die, MIW throw me in jail etc. July 1 at 2:56am · Like. Juan デヴィイドサン I see the point. It's just sad if the reality of Singapore will favour the evil ones and their dictatorship in the near future. July 1 at 3:03am · Like. Demon-cratic Singapore @ Juan デヴィイドサン : Don't be sad. Understand that they can get away with what they are doing only because the conditions are right for them for the time being. The time will come to pass when the conditions are no longer favourable to them and they too will pass like everything else. Emperor Qin Shi Huang, so mighty and proud. He rather be feared as the tyrant he was. After his death, his descendants were hunted and killed just like how he hunted and killed those who opposed him. The mighty general, Cao Cao, invincible and feared during his time. He wanted the throne for himself thinking that he can pass it on to his heir when he died. His son simply can't wait for him to die so that he can be emperor himself. Immediately after Cao Cao's death, his son declare himself emperor and took all his women as his own. The point I am trying to illustrate here is simply that we just have to wait patiently for the right conditions to come. My comics is not just to entertainment the anti-PAP, but also to remind the MIW that they should wake up and stop accumulating bad karma for themselves because ultimately they will have to pay the price regardless whether they believe there is karma or not. But if they fail to take the not so subtle hint and keep on doing what they do, well, they can't say that they haven't been warned or advised by the time they arrive in hell.
